New EU-funded Doctoral Network: CAPTURE

We are pleased to announce that CAPTURE – Improved Diagnosis, Monitoring and Treatment through European Doctoral Collaboration in Capsule Endoscopy – has been awarded funding through the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks programme.

Coordinated by NTNU, the four-year project will bring together researchers and institutions across Europe to advance wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE). With approximately €4.7 million in EU funding, CAPTURE will recruit and train 15 doctoral candidates working on medical imaging, artificial intelligence, visualization and improved diagnostic methods.

Building on established research collaborations within the field of capsule endoscopy, including CapsNetwork, CAPTURE will further strengthen international cooperation and contribute to the development of new technologies for improved diagnosis and patient care.

The project will officially begin on 1 January 2027.
